Metronet Mail

Incoming mail to dgh@metronet.co.uk still not coming through.
When I reported it at the beginning of the week I was told it was because the mailbox is full, so deleted loads of messages.
Now still getting reports from clients that my mail is bouncing back.
This is my business address for my patients to use and I urgently need it working.
Tried to get engineers to sort it by raising a ticket but they seem to be ignoring them.
Headers from bounced mail below.
Please can someone help?
David

Thanks for the warning about the addresses - I guess you mean they will be harvested? I've taken info out.

Re: Metronet Mail

Still not fixed.
5 days since I reported it emails are still bouncing.
Spoke to one "engineer" who said he'd get someone to fix it but did not even pass the ticket on.
Next one had no idea what the headers meant and said he'd pass it on. Still nothing.
Is there anyone there who has a clue.

Hi there,
Just had a look at this for you and I can see it's now been sorted. Apologies it took so long.

Re: Metronet Mail

Thanks for apology - it is more than any of the "engineers" managed.
They never did find the fault, but something they did whist searching seems to have fixed the problem.
Seems I have a "legacy" mailbox, which is not worth maintaining anymore, so after 15 + years with metronet it is time to look elswhere.
Seems loyalty is worth zilch these days. It was such a nice company when they had their little office up the road from me in Harrow. All went pair shaped when plusnet got involved.
I hear tiscali are doing some good deals.....

Re: Metronet Mail

Crikey, have Metronet really been around that long? I wasn't aware we had any 'legacy' mailboxes TBH.
Anyways, sorry to hear you're thinking about moving elsewhere Angry
Word of warning though, make sure you do your research first as I'm sure there's better offers/quality of service out there than that offered by Tiscali.
