I'm newish - is there still a member centre dashboard where I can  see my ASDL settings within Plusnet? If yes, where on earth is it?

Re: Member centre dashboard

Welcome to the foruns, @jeanandken609  - what exactly do you want to check ? Or you could log into your account from the drop-down under 'My Account' at the top of the page and explore.

Re: Member centre dashboard

John,

I want to know if BT have enabled ADSL2+ on my line as ordered by Plusnet last week; the BT DSL checker is ambivalent.. But I don't want to glue Plusnet support up during the current madness unless I really have to.

I've rummaged in My Account but it made my brain hurt!

Re: Member centre dashboard

Ken - that information will be available on your router, which one do you have? It is never available within your account.

Re: Member centre dashboard

I'm currently using a Netgear DG834G; I can see nothing inside that tells me that ...

Re: Member centre dashboard

@jeanandken609

Can you not see from your speed? If the download is above 12Mbps then you are on ADSL2+

I have had a look at the DG834G manual and can't find where it would be shown, if indeed anywhere. What you want is to find a reference to the ADSL Annex. Annex G992.3 is ADSL, G992.5 is ADSL2+.

If it's been recently changed try switching the router off for a few minutes then reconnect in case it needs a reboot to pick up the faster speed.

Re: Member centre dashboard

@Baldrick1 is totally correct, unfortunately. I'm sure I've seen the required information somewhere, but for the life of me can't remember where.

Sorry the response took so long, but I had to dig my old manual out from the storage external - must sort it into useful groups/folders.😉

Re: Member centre dashboard

Well, I had a brainwave and found where I'd seen it, but unless you have the program installed I don't think you'll have much success.

For historic reasons, I have RouterStats installed and running, and that is where the info is - see pic.

Re: Member centre dashboard

Thanks John - but nothing to see on the router.  After my latest lightning strike (!) I have a selection of routers but I think I will bother support now ...

Cheers

Re: Member centre dashboard

Ken you could always install RouterStats - it is an extremely useful bit of kit if and when you have connection problems. Mine is running whenever the laptop is switched on.
