It looks like your sync/connection speed is dropping again causing reduced speeds. Without router stats like those you attached in reply #2 I can only guess the cause of this will be target noise margin increasing again, potentially indicative of a problem.
If you want to post router stats there is no need to attach an image, it's usually easier to press the left mouse button while you drag the mouse over the page entries from left of Uptime to right of the HEC Errors value, then right-click in the highlighted area and select Copy, right click in your reply post and select Paste.

I think these show your target noise margin (SN Margin) will have been increased by the DLM at the exchange to 15dB (the maximum on maxDSL). At the moment your noise margin is well above that target value, suggesting the source of noise could be intermittent. Do you have a feel for how noise margin varies through the day? Recording the history of this using RouterStats can be helpful. The full version of RouterStats works out-of-the-box with the TG585, just select the ST585 v6 or v7 radio button (it works with the v8 too) and enter the admin login information. A guide to configuring RouterStats is given in this post.
The CRC and HEC Error counts shown for 1¼ days connection represent significant rates even now - whilst plugged into the test socket. This suggests the source of the problem is not related to internal wiring however I suggest you remain in the test socket over the weekend.

It looks like it's stayed connected solidly over the weekend, could you try disconnecting and reconnecting (via the router's interface - don't just pull any cables out or turn the router off as it'll look like a line fault if you do that) and see if the profile improves at all?

Not sure what you are telling me regards the figures, but initially when Jojo reset the S/N i got the results as in reply # 11, but since then it seems to be gradually slowing down again. I have just run a speed test again as below at 16:55. Can i now take the router out of the test socket as i don't think the problem is in the house wiring?

It should be interesting to see what difference there is on the line with the internal wiring in the equation though.

The current sync speed is very low again, looks like line conditions were noisy when re-sync occurred. Did you initiate re-sync or was it a connection drop?

Did not re-sync so must have been a connection drop
