Can you cut and paste your router complete stats please?
I suspect that something is a bit "off" here - if your router reports it, I'd like to confirm the current modulation standard.

That was quick - thank you.
Chris,
By disconnect were you thinking of a PPP session drop or a xDSL drop? This synch speed is markedly lower that those reported previously by Steve. Has the modulation changed?

Can you please cut and paste the router stats page when you want to provide updates. The other data is highly relevant. What is the current Noise Margin please?
With a noise margin of 6dB this line ought to be running at around 18Mbps. It is well short of that. At 9dB it ought to be circa 15Mbps.
Something is still far from ideal... but if you are happy where you are... Deep joy!

The "reference" calculator here - http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/max_speed_calc.php - indicates what speed might be expected on a reasonable line.
Sometimes though there are other factors which come into play which mean that the expectations are not achieved. For example the presence of aluminium (instead of decent copper) in the "copper" access network serving your property. Also smaller than "standard" gauge wires can impact expected performance.
