I'ma rural location with a very long line that is stable, most of the time, and well known to me.
My Upstream has dropped to 288kbps from over 500kbps in the last couple of weeks and my Downstream snr has moved out from 6db to 9db.
I use a Billion 7800n router, wired. Router has been tested on another line and is fine.
I've just been online chat with support who checked line and said no problems but clearly the SNR has moved out from 6db, I'm more concerned about the Upstream reduction. In the data below the downstream is being manually overridden with the Billion to get the line down to 6.4db, if I reset it then it will be 9-10db.
Line stats:
Parameters | |
DSP Firmware Version | A2pB025f.d22k |
DMT Status | No Defect |
Operational Mode | G.DMT |
Upstream | 288 |
Downstream | 2272 |
SNR Margin(Upstream) | 10.0 |
SNR Margin(Downstream) | 6.4 |
Line Attenuation(Upstream) | 31.5 |
Line Attenuation(Downstream) | 63.5 |

Sorry to hear your speeds have dropped.
I've tested your line and that's not showing any issues.
Just to confirm can you connect the router to the test socket if you haven't done so already?

I've connected to test socket, run with unused microfilter, tested with another router(old netgear) and still same.
Thanks for the help.

Thanks for confirming.
In that case I'd recommend raising a fault by going here
