Sorry this thread was going OT because the original poster said it was  Emails were being sent to a "closed" group and did not or has not raised concern about CC or BCC

No CC or BCC doesn't matter as everyone knows each other anyway. We do intend to use bulk email software, hence my reason for asking the limits so we can set up the throttling. I believe the software under consideration doesn't use CC or BCC and sends the emails individually. I don't wish to use Plusnet's facilities as we may be moving from Plusnet in the near future and I don't entirely trust third parties with the database.

As it sends the emails individually I think you should be OK. AFAIK PN's severs do not look for repeated outgoing messages with identical content. I guess the danger would be if a number of the recipients were on the same ISP and their servers thought you were spamming.
