Quote We are however, looking at implementing non geographic 03xx telephone numbers, which cost the same as calling a geographic one.
I would have hoped that this would have been implemented before moves were made towards retiring the 0114 numbers.

I just wanted to make it clear that we haven't removed that number from service, just removing it from the website itself.

OK - a challenge: Give us an absolute assurance that the 0114 numbers will not be withdrawn before 03xx numbers are made available.

Question - I don't remember being raised.
If I am on the Evenings and Weekend package is the 0845 number free all day or just during the included calls period

What about the poor people who are using other means of contact, like me! I had a complete line failure and could only contact via my mobile, on which I get 01,02,03 number free from home but have to pay for 0845

HI. We've said previously that we looked at providing a 03 number and decided not to implement it, preferring to consolidate on the one support number - and making that free for Home Phone customers. And I've just said now that the 0114 number will remain in service. I'm not going to give any absolute assurance about our strategy changing at any point in the future. Cleary what we do going forwards depends on call volumes coming in and how we are managing our resources.
