Leaving Plusnet and Openreach FTTC Modem

I am ceasing my Plusnet broadband/landline service after being a customer for many years and switching to another (cable) ISP aswell as moving home.

What am I supposed to do with the BT Openreach FTTC modem?

Re: Leaving Plusnet and Openreach FTTC Modem

Hi @lhu55ain

Thanks for getting in touch.

What you do with the router at this stage is entirely up to yourself. You could keep it as a spare (most ISP's allow you to manually configure routers to work with any connection), dispose of it in a recycling point independently, or we'll be happy to send you a returns bag to return it to ourselves.

Just let us know!

Best wishes

Dave

Re: Leaving Plusnet and Openreach FTTC Modem

Thanks for the reply.

It's the BT Openreach modem (the device installed by the Openreach engineer on the activation day) I'm referring to...NOT the Plusnet router.

Please check and advise further.
Do I disconnect it, send back to Plusnet/BT, take with me or leave in the property?

Fix

Hi @Lhu55ain

Any of those options would be fine - if you keep the router as a spare, you will need the modem in order for it to work.

If you want to send it back, we'd be happy to send a returns bag as previously advised.

Best wishes

Dave

Ok in that case please send me a returns bag so I may return to Plusnet.
Thanks
