In my experience these peak time latency bumps are usually down to issues within the BT network. Where the issue lies in the BT infrastructure is rather difficult to ascertain but usually things clear up after a few days. So any small bumps (similar to the first post) are nothing to be worried about and probably won't last long.

I am not at all sure that the peak hour latency is necessarily within the BT network.  I have recently migrated from Idnet (who also use the BT backhaul and the equivalent time Tbb graph was effectively flat.  Idnet claim to have no contention whatsoever within their own network.  My conclusion, if Idnet can do it (whilst still using BT), then so should PN.  Or, getting back to my initial question, - am I asking / expecting too much.  Perhaps a passing PN staff member might like to comment?
