Joined Plusnet Fibre...

I am delighted to be able to have FTTC at last.
I have placed the order for Plusnet Unlimited Fibre on 19/12/12.
I have got the engineer appointment today [8am - 1pm slot].
Waiting for the engineer to turn up. Fingers crossed as I read of many no shows...
Will my Netgear router provided by VM work with new connection?

Providing VM haven't nobbled the firmware,  and the model supports PPPoE,  it should work fine.

See if you can configure it for a WAN pppoe connection with your plusnet username and password

In this area, Hants/ Dorset border, Fordingbridge exchange, the Openreach engineers are a great bunch. They seem to be in the village every day connecting to our FTTC service which went live on 30 Sep. Many of the enginneers are young lads who have recently left the army. Very friendly, hard working &  skilfull. The other day one of them kindly moved my master socket foc. Smiley

Re: Joined Plusnet Fibre...

Hope he's arrived by now!  Undecided
No it only took 40 minutes. He ran an external cable down the wall, drilled a hole into the lounge & fitted the socket on the inside. It would have taken me a week!!

Hi abhijack,
It looks like the engineer went to the wrong address, I tried to call you earlier but got your voicemail. We're chasing this up and will be in-touch shortly.
