In the absence of P/Net's speedtester, I have used BT's Speedtester a few times recently. I noticed a pop-up window come up, but thought it must be new Java stuff - although I'd never seen it before.
This morning, I went to the site and Avast blocked a Java Trojan. I notice another thread where users have had problems with the site, so maybe this is the problem?

There are similar reports over on Usenet in p.s.customer-feedback. A couple of customers there have reported it to Avast. I'll let the BT Speedtest folk know as well. I suspect it's a false positive.
