"Broadband network outage (71130) - RESOLVED

This is an update to yesterday's and last week's posts about the major service outage which caused a significant number of customers to be temporarily disconnected from the Internet.
Following some balancing towards the end of last week and over the weekend the broadband network is looking in a much healthier place. We're happy that there is no longer any impact on speeds or latency and therefore are closing this service status.

So where does it say that.? Streaming isn't supposed to be throttled unless I've been asleep !
Same gateway as me (but 20CN) and no problem with speed test upto normal and ping normal,
but the BBC diagnostics are bad for me tonight, don't normally have that.

It's throttled to 5Mbps on Value Fibre and 10Mbps on Extra Fibre pretty much all day apart from the free overnight period.

Things are picking up slowly now.. throughput seems to have doubled and the iPlayer is saying I can stream hd..

On Unlimited, BBC iPlayer is !

Same here.  Last couple of goes on the BT beta I had my line rate back of about 59Mbps.

I had the biggest downstream speed drop I've seen for a while last night at around 8:00.

Hey guys.  A little concerning so we are going to asked a few questions. I can't see any problems on our platform: balance was fine, latency was fine, no gold drops or anything which could suggest we're broken or congested.

Most likely down to BT, not PlusNet methinks.

Certainly everything is back to normal this morning with no restarts of anything.
