Is Ian Duncan Smith on my computer?

Grin Well not quite but something starting with his initials
IDS proto parser : tcp data on syn segment (1 of 10) : 202.103.178.99 84.93.181.7 1024 TCP 3202->21804 [S.A...] seq 237786368 ack 447334797 win 65535
is an entry in my 585 v7 event log and I am clueless what it means and also concerned.
What can friends tell me about the entry, and will they advice me of any action I meed take? Please! Smiley
No one has to agree with my opinion, but in the time I have left a miracle would be nice.

Re: Is Ian Duncan Smith on my computer?

Well the first IP address mentioned is registered in China so I guess it is some sort of attempt to access your router. There is a thread here on the same subject several months ago. Doesn't seem to lead to any solution/conclusion but presumably the entries stop happening after a time.

Re: Is Ian Duncan Smith on my computer?

Thanks.
I did a lookup but got no further than the DNS Server, could not identify actual user involved.
