Hi Jo, I have a netgear dgn220 n300 which has a drop down menu offering adsl, adsl 2, adsl 2+ and auto, so I've left it set to auto after trying all three and no noticeable difference was seen, also i plugged in my old sky
Router in the other day just to check the sync speed and I got the same speed as the netgear but I couldn't do a speed test on the sky router so I don't know what the actual throughput was I hope this helps Jo thanks.

Hi patbish22,
Still can't figure out why your sync rate isn't any higher. Try re-syncing in daylight hours and see if that helps. The banding has been removed now and the line doesn't seem too bad, it's just the sync. I've popped your speed up a bit but would still be interested to see what it resynced at.
