I have always run from the master socket, except for the time using the test socket. It just seems odd that I always got over 16Mbps without issue while at BE and for the first few months while with Plusnet. I will have to wait until fibre teething issues to settle down before taking the plunge as I have seen far too many issue for my liking on the forums.
The one positive to come from this is that the wireless signal on my new modem is far better (which makes my son happy as his XBox is wireless) than the 582N.
