Can you please change your second link ('the gateway') as it currently just points to 'http://usertools.plus.net/' which is the main tools page

thanks roswell and everyone else for the other replies, i will monitor this topic, all be it with a sense of wonder. i will reboot my router as soon as i finish this, i had left it connected as my ip profile sync thingy had been up and down like a brides nighty and wanted to let it stabilise

Just did it again. "Disconnected by peer" at router for a few minutes.

... and again. Router connectivity all fine until last step at plusnet, which just went into error for a bit:

Connectivity to Gateway (195.166.128.27)
Becoming a bit of a habit this.  Sad
