Interleaving...

Hello, i am a gamer and as i gamer i require low ping times would i benefit from having interleaving switched off? I am trying to find my line stats  (errors etc) but cannot figure out how to get my errors to show on my router (wag160n) i did manage to get my line stats though..
Also what does this retrain code mean : DSL Status:          ShowtimeRetrain Reason: 1 <-- Error code 1, i know what 8000 means but i do not know what one is, Thanks!
Modem isn't a year old yet, and will be fitting a Iplate to the master socket. Aswell as replacing the internal rj11 extention cable running from the master socket to the router

Re: Interleaving...

Yes fast path is usually great for gamers
It can cut around 10-15ms off you're ping
also if i'm reading this correctly
DSL Attenuation:     15.0 dB
when you switch to ADSL2+ you will be receiving 17mbps+ download speed.

Re: Interleaving...

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but what does 'ShowtimeRetrain Reason: 8000' mean?  (I have the same router)

Re: Interleaving...

I think the "DSL Status:          Showtime" bit means:  " current status is 'working' "
Don't know what "Retrain Reason: 8000" means, might be worth googling for that, I don't see that on my output and I notice the one above says "ShowtimeRetrain Reason:  1"

Re: Interleaving...

I know this post is an old one of mine, but i wanted to give clarification Retrain 8000 is a manual resync for this particular router, nothing to be worried about.
