Re: Increase IP Profile

The full version of Routerstats from http://www.vwlowen.co.uk/internet/files.htm works well with the TG585v8 for monitoring the connection (select the Speedtouch v6,v7 option).
Some guidance on suitable configuration settings is given in this post. Note that some of the later replies are based on use of a much older version of the program.

Re: Increase IP Profile

Hi DJ1UK,
It looks like your 6000 profile is back. Have you seen the increase at your end?

Re: Increase IP Profile

Hi Jojo,
Sorry for not updating this thread.  Yes speed back to normal around 5.5.
Had a blip on Saturday night where it went back down to 0.5mb, but seems to have restored itself. Connection has been stable since then.. just over 2 days.
I changed all micro-filters, so maybe one of them was faulty.
Thanks for your help... a great service.
Router info looks like this.. is everything ok.. SN margin high?  I'm happy the way things are  Wink

Re: Increase IP Profile

Hi DJ1UK,
Thanks for letting me know. SNR does seem to be a little high. Would you like me to try and lower it and see what happens?

Re: Increase IP Profile

Sure if you think it'll help, please try and reduce the SNR.
I'm not too techy...! Will this increase my speed?
Thanks, DJ.

Re: Increase IP Profile

Yes, it should. I'll give it a go and check on it before I go home. It can sometimes reset quickly but can take up to 24 hours Smiley

Re: Increase IP Profile

I've just changed your profile to 7150Kbps, so you should see the increase shortly Smiley
