Improving my connection

Hello,
I'm a newbie here on the community forums but have been with plusnet for years with no real problems.
I have a mac pro and an aging windows computer and will soon be using just the mac. My question is this; I want to improve the wiring from the BT box to the router (Netgear DG834 v4) to get the best speed I can. Should I get a BTNTE5 adaptor from www.clarity.it/ or use some other filter. What's the latest on getting the cleanest signal into the router. As I am redecorating, now is the time I can run new cables.
Thanks in advance,
nailbone

Connect the router directly to the BT NTE5 master socket.
Disconnect the bell wire if you have any extension sockets - or use an i-plate, filtered faceplate etc.
