My Netgear DG834G router is connected to a slave socket. On Saturday I fitted a BT I-plate to the master socket and a shorter cable from the router to the slave socket.
My noise margin figures have improved significantly - from 11-13db to what you see below - and this has remained pretty consistent since Saturday.
Figures are now as follows: -
Down Up
Connection Speed 576 kbps 288 kbps
Line Attenuation 58 db 15.5 db
Noise Margin 27 db 24 db
Only the noise margin figures have changed significantly.
From what I've read, those noise margin figures are pretty good - can I expect to get a better sync speed in the next couple of days or am I stuck at half a meg?
Thanks

That looks like a fixed 512 line according to this http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/linestats.htm
You should see improved speeds if you move to ADSL Max.

You are on a fixed speed connection.
You would need to request being changed to MAX
adie types faster than me
