I thought some of you may be interested in this. Amazon is now selling the TP Link TL-WR2543ND 450Mbps Dual-Band Wireless N Gigabit Router for under £35, delivered. I know many aren't overly happy with the stock router supplied by Plusnet and this is an excellent upgrade. I paid almost double :(.

Thanks matey!

Looked at that router a while ago and while it's not a bad price,it isn't dual band concurrent/simultaneous capable, so decided to spend £20 extra on the TL-WDR3600 (think that's the right model no.)

You got in a  just the right time, it's now £51 (I paid a little more but then I brought it from a retailer who pays vat!), I think you'll like it. I'll give you a challenge, name one way the TG582n beats it?  Grin

Re: If anyone wants to upgrade their Fibre router...

As this thread only goes to show, prices on Amazon can fluctuate significantly whether they be due to the churn of marketplace sellers or Amazon's own stock shifting strategy. With this in mind I'd highly recommend uk.camelcamelcamel.com which can track Amazon prices, show you the history and even e-mail you if/when the item you're after falls below a certain price.
For example, here is the page for the router you're looking at which details how up and down the price has been.

Re: If anyone wants to upgrade their Fibre router...

Got my new router today.
A breeze to set up, but getting it to see my USB attached drive is proving 'challenging'!
