Thought I might have embarrassed myself there.  Yes if this is just ADSL then 5.5Mbps would be nearer the mark.

Given the upload sync it was already on some sort of 21CN variant so the modify must have gone through. What we don't know is if the banding would push it on to something lower than ADSL2+.
