IP Profile question

I read on Kitz.co.uk that my my IP profile should increase after 4 hours as I went from a sync speed of 600 odd to over 6000.  After a few disconnections trying different routers etc, I have had my router connected for over 29 hours.  My IP profile, however is still at 500, making it impossible to download anything.  Does this mean I still have to wait 72 hours for such a large increase?

Your IP profile should change quickly but it might not necessarily be in 4 hours. Sometimes you will have to wait 3 days and at other times it will happen in four hours. It depends on demand on the IP profile system.

Ok thanks for the info sjrinfroyle.  I had read on another post on here to try switching off the router for 20 minutes so I did that yesterday but no joy!

Hi su4stu,
I see the 500 profile, and it definitely should have risen by now. Normally I would reset the line but sadly can't do that as we mentioned the other day about an order already being in place.

I notice PN have changed my ip profile to 5.5mb which is great, only thing is BT still has me at 500!  I feel like screaming, it's taking an age to even load web pages.

I'm seeing it as 5000 on BT side now. How's it there?

Just did another BT test and it's showing an IP Profile of 5000, same as PN, but my speed is only 374!  What on earth can be the problem now?  Posted my router stats and as you can see my sync is 6112.  Forgot to save my BT results but I did one on My Broadband Speed and they were the same.  Should I try rebooting the router, now my profile has raised and see if that does any good?

Went ahead and rebooted the router and that's sorted it out!  Thanks again Jojo for keeping an eye on things for me.
