Hi
Engineer called yesterday, done line tests and repaired equipment in the exchange.
However he says our throughput being next door to the exchange should be in the region of 17mb, i notice you have got my ip profile set at 12000 over the troubled period. The BT Engineer suggested i ask my IP Profile to be raised, the engineer also said that these are supposed to be automatically done, but never work and need to be reset manually.
How do i get it reset back to 18000 which i believe it was for the past year.
thanks

You need to run a BT speed test to find out what your IP Profile is at present. The Plusnet one should then be set to match that.
If the BT IP Profile is low, post your router stats (sync speed, attenuation and noise margin).

Hi bitz1,
A line check shows that the BT profile is set at 12000 at the moment I'm afraid, so there'd be no point in raising the one set on our side at present. Provided the line stays stable though you should find that this uplifts within a couple of days.

ok
bt speedtest says 12000 profile
do the stats below look like my line is ok as the line atten has increased since repairs
and my previous upstream noise margin was only 16.4 db
does this seem normal
thanks
