Well, I took the plunge as I was sick of waiting!!! I disconnected router and turned off modem and now my BTW IP Profile has gone up by, wait for it.......
I'm maxing out my connection when its not on a go slow like so many, so why has it not jumped up as much as it dropped??

It's actually quite a complex issue which can be related to the precise lead length, not the fact that it's a long one or a short one. It's all to do with things such as standing waves at the various frequencies used by fibre, most of the mathematics of which I have long since buried at the back of my brain
