edit: the pings before midnight would of been even more stable if my sister hadnt saved up 150mb's worth of windows updates and decided to do it when i was pinging

yes just reading through this thread iam also on the adsl2+ trail and having the same problems. xbox live is just unplayable. im getting serious spikes in my pings around 9pm which is giving me crazy lag

from what i rember of my half awake de brief is that the prioity's are  upside down on 21cn. ie p2p is getting the red carpet treatment were gaming ect has been left standing cold at the door so to speak.
i belive the bandwith each prioity has is the same which is why the latency is going thought the roof at the times when p2p ect have there rate limits raised/ lifted all togther.
jeeves did you wash my drop wire at 9.55am as my line resync'ed and came back with what looks to be a 9db target giving a modest 1.5mb increase in sync . i would think it will drop down to 12db tho which should be fine as it will give me back my 3000kbps profile.

my router seems to resync every morning around 7am. giving me a speed of 8900kbs dl and 888 upload with snr of 12db down and up. but as the day goes on and around 9pm my snr drops between 6 and 8db and if i reboot my router the sync goes down to around 7000

Come on Asbo post the full stats for 9dB target SNR margin. If your predictions come true we might not see those again.

We've been setting up some internal QoS monitoring on our ADSL2+ gateway so that we can confirm what is happening.
We'll need to review after the weekend.

k. i was hoping for Jim'll Fix It it type soultion to get latency on gaming fine for the weekend.
but as long i know iam not going insane any more trying work out what was causing the latency and its being looked into thats fine by me
just typical tho thats its bank hol weekend

Might help being the bank holiday, if everyone goes out it'll be quiet on the network.
I've requested a bandwidth increase too, lead time is a week though so won't be done until next Friday.
