Hello,
I think my IP/BRAS profile is stuck, or rather Plusnet aren't fetching the value from BT properly.
When I perform a speed test at speedtester.bt.com, the IP profile is shown as 7150, whereas the setting shown in my Plusnet control panel is 3000 (and my downloads are coming in at around 2.5K).
It's been like this for a while. I tried re-syncing the router earlier in the week (it always syncs at the full 8K) to see if that prompted any change but there's no difference.
I opened a support ticket but I keep getting told that my disconnections earlier in the week caused the drop in profile and I need to wait, even though the profile was at 3000 before then. In any case, isn't the speed shown on my control panel meant to be the same as that shown on the BT speed tester?
My support ticket number is 29644570.
Pretty please...
Simon

Your profile on our side is now set to match the BT one of 7150, can you try a speedtest and see if your speeds are any better now?

Hurrah, what a quick response!
Thank you. I won't be able to check until later in the weekend but I'll report back.
Was there a problem?

Not a problem as such, more agent misunderstanding and thinking it was your IP Profile that was stuck, rather than the profile on our side. I'll speak to them both and their managers to make sure they understand what to look for.
