After sorting out my bell wire, my ADSL has been really okay!
I have found a command that gives me the bitloading info on my Solwise 715 which I have plotted at: http://www.dougrice.plus.com/Erlangs/adsl_Appendix.htm

I have just upgraded to Plusnet ADSL2+ and my speed has dropped from  better than 7Mbps downstream  to 4544 kbps.
The command to print out the bit loading on the Thomson TG585 v8 for bit loading is "xdsl debug bitloadinginfo"
You have to connect using telnet 192.168.1.254
I have started to plot the measurements:  http://www.dougrice.plus.com/Erlangs/adsl_AppendixThomson.htm
My Solwise 715 measurements are at: http://www.dougrice.plus.com/Erlangs/adsl_Appendix.htm
Do I have to wait 10 days to get my old speeds back?
Doug

It looks like the ADSL2+ DLM has put you on a banded profile. That usually happens because of disconnections or high transmission error rates. Until Plusnet get banding removed (or the DLM does this itself) your sync speed won't go higher.
