I have tried calling plusnet this morning but have been unable go get through due to high amount of callers. You have made seven disjointed posts on here...

This fragmented posting is helping neither you nor anyone else to progress the issue.  I have asked the mods to merge the topics so that anyone seeking to help here can see the full history.

I note that you somewhat dismissed my previous attempt to offer you self help.  You did not indicate if you had performed the requested tests, but just dismissed the request stating that your phone line is fine ... which it clearly is not.  A router being unable to establish sync is invariably a line fault and indeed all of the Plusnet touches on the multitude of tickets report external line faults.

You need to take this back to the basics, even if you've had engineers out multiple times - do not make the mistake that they found ALL of the line faults at the time they visited.  Typically they find ONE FAULT fix it and leg it.  It maters not which ISP you are with you get the same BTOR engineers.

When you encounter the issue, do the QLT - noise can be intermittent.

When you encounter the issue, try phoning your phone from a mobile - some intermittent issues are 'rectified' by the ring voltage / current.  Such is a useful diagnostic aid.

No dial tone or no ring tone when the line is rung clearly point to POTS grade issues and should be reported via the phone fault reporter on the user portal.

Beyond that use the broadband fault reporter in the user portal.

Re: Hub flashing orange and i have no internet!!

I replied to your last message informing that I had tested the phone line and it was working fine. I had an engineer out that tested all my phone lines internally and also replaced all the sockets and everything has been working fine. I only post on the community because I cannot get hold of plusnet by phone. Most of the faults I have had have always been shown as external issues. I have had several engineers out that have fixed the issue temporarily but they all have said that a part is damaged and needs replacing externally! So despite my attempts at trying to get hold of somebody from plusnet to send someone to fix and replace the broken part what exactly am I supposed to do???!?. I am disabled and my broadband is my lifeline,it keeps me in touch with family, friends and my carer's . I have been isolating due to covid and rarely see anyone so hopefully you can understand how important my broadband is to me.

Re: Hub flashing orange and i have no internet!!

Well that presents a more complete picture than the fragmented multiple posts.  That said your last reply came across as dismissive of the request, not that you have undertaken the tests.  Further, though quite at the time of testing, have you tested at the time the circuit drops?

To summarise:

You have had several visits.

Some repairs were declared as temporary.

You believe that someone still needs to own a plan to instigate a permanent resolution?

@Gandalf can you assist here please?  Does the above accord with the account history from BTOR?  What is the most appropriate way forward here?
