@markneil adjusted for you Wink - might require a reboot to pick up though.
@colbrad I believe CParr is looking at your account now.

Indeed I was looking at your account, and found an issue. Basically the information on our side about which wholesale product you are on was empty, I've updated this with the correct information and you should now have a line profile of 9000.

Re: How to tell if you're really on an ADSL2+ enabled line ?

thanks for taking a look at my account Chris, current speed tests since you corrected the details:
DATE / TIME          DOWNLOAD          UPLOAD
11/03/10 11:23    5685.29 Kbps      250.15 Kbps
11/03/10 11:21     5030.94 Kbps       293.85 Kbps
11/03/10 11:16     5692.24 Kbps       282.91 Kbps

is there a delay before my speeds will start to increase / or a gradual improvement or should there be a significant improvement already

You may need to force your router to disconnect/reconnect before you see an improvement.

Re: How to tell if you're really on an ADSL2+ enabled line ?

@Matt
Any chance you could nudge my profile also  ::). My router is sync'd at 16,399 and my BT profile is 14,000.
Current download speeds between 5 and 6.5 Mbps.
Many thanks

Re: How to tell if you're really on an ADSL2+ enabled line ?

My speeds are still not near what I was promised on the up to 20meg service, router stats say:
Bandwidth (Up/Down) 443 / 11,499
Plus something I've noticed in my TBB connection details that I'm a little confused about is the KEMPTOWN ( SDKMPTW ) exchange, as theres not an option to change the exchange to SHARROW, only the postcode which is currently correct... So, stupid question here, am I really connecting through an exchange over 200 miles away

Connection Details
Description         My home DSL
Package Name  MAX Broadband Premier 50GB
ISP Name          Madasafish
Telephone No.   0114*******
Monitor IP          91.125.69.**
Postcode           S2 ***
Exchange          KEMPTOWN ( SDKMPTW )

Re: How to tell if you're really on an ADSL2+ enabled line ?

What exchange does the UserTools Exchange Checker say you are on http://usertools.plus.net/exchanges/?
The BT list has been known to have the wrong details entered, but that shouldn't affect the service.

thanks for the reply, the checker is saying SHARROW exchange, which is less than half a mile away...

Unless the cables go a long way round speeds should be reasonable at that distance. What are your full router stats - sync speeds, attenuations and noise margins?

Re: How to tell if you're really on an ADSL2+ enabled line ?

With line attenuation of 35.5dB your bandwidth/sync speed of 11499kbps was about right. Has the value changed since then resulting in the low speeds you are now experiencing?
The speed you actually see on speed tests is controlled by your IP Profile which you can find out from a BT speed test at http://www.speedtester.bt.com, and your Plusnet profile which should duplicate the one set by BT. For Plusnet customers this is shown as Current line speed in the Member Centre, but I don't know if and where it is shown for Madasafish customers. For sync at 11499kbps both values should be 10000kbps.
Getting results from the BT speedtester can be troublesome at times, but persistence usually pays off.

Re: How to tell if you're really on an ADSL2+ enabled line ?

Hi guys,
@rgschofield, I've updated your profile and replied to your ticket.
@colbrad, I've made a couple of changes to your account, can you retest for me please?
