Re: How to get max speed?

Well I'm not surprised the CRC count has shot up, but the stats show the connection has dropped at some point any idea when?
Also something odd happened just after 1636, it looks as though the graph stopped and when it started circa 10 minutes later the SNRM was nearly 2dB higher - maybe there was a drop then, but why the 10 minutes gap  Huh

Re: How to get max speed?

The funny behaviour at 16:30 was due to a double router restart following attempting to upgrade router firmware. This is likely when the connection dropped.

Re: How to get max speed?

Ah, OK, understood.Which version of the modem/router is it by the way?
When you next try to upgrade the firmware, once you have it downloaded, I would disconnect from the line so any re-boots are done off-line and you can check all is OK before going back on-line.

Re: How to get max speed?

One expects the SNRM to drop at dusk and rise at dawn, with some variability overnight, by how much depends on length and quality of line.
But this which has been trundling along so close to 0 is somewhat unusual. What's the current CRC figure?

I assume you will wait (it would be best) until you hear back from TP Link.

Thanks, that makes some sense.
Stats as follows. There was a line drop around 9am this morning which likely reset it.

Re: How to get max speed?

Do you have SNRM & speed graphs that shows that drop?

Re: How to get max speed?

Interesting, the SNRM graph shows the same strange behaviour just after the resync as the one yesterday at 1444/45. Make sure you don't lose either of these graphs. They could be relevant later on. In the meantime, I'll try a bit more digging. Out of curiosity, do you have the Plusnet TG582n Modem/Router at all - just a question, nothing weird to read into it.

Re: How to get max speed?

Thanks. I'm afraid not, the two TP Links are the only routers I have.

Re: How to get max speed?

Ok,all noted. I did see the Connection Speed graph on the previous post. As the resync was well into daylight, you've gained a touch more speed.

Re: How to get max speed?

Latest graphs. As you can see, I sufferered another router issue earlier, i'm not sure what the problem was but it was the same scenario as the other day. Logging fell zero, router page wouldn't load so had to switch it off and on again. Connection soon returned. Other than that, no issues as such to update.
