How do I connect my iMac directly to BT Fibre Modem

Hi
As a temporary solution to my lack of a fibre router I would like to connect my iMac via ethernet to the BT modem (Plusnet chap Simon said it would work)
I tried quickly before I had to leave for work but couldn't sus it out.
My iMac was asking about DCHP or PPPoE and other info
any help would be great
thank you

Set it for PPPoE with your PlusNet username and password. http://www.plus.net/support/broadband/hardware/broadband-connection-settings.shtml

Re: How do I connect my iMac directly to BT Fibre Modem

Thanks very much
I think I put in plusnet.dsl  instead of plusdsl.net
it should work, then I can share my internet wirelessly from the iMac
brilliant!

Re: How do I connect my iMac directly to BT Fibre Modem

Just wanted to say thanks for the help.
I didn't have a fibre router so I followed the set up given in the previous posts and connected my iMac directly to the BT Modem and I was back online. I then turned on wireless internet sharing on the iMac and I could get online with the iPad and Wii U.
It was a really big help last night so thanks again.
(got the correct router from Plusnet now so it all fine now)
