How can the Bandwidth be greater than the Maximum Bandwidth available?

Last day of training (second) after a troublesome move over to CN21.  According to router Im getting:
Maximum Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 1,148 / 10,696
Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 443 / 10,840.
Im not sure how that can be?  Im profiled for only 7150 and actually getting around 6700 ( same as ADSL was before the move over to CN21. Has the profile not caught up yet?  Will it get better?

Re: How can the Bandwidth be greater than the Maximum Bandwidth available?

The description is somewhat confusing. The figures from the router are your sync rate, with the top ones being an estimate from the router of what might be possible and the bottom what it is actually. As with all estimates they are not always accurate.
The IP profiles define your data rate which is always lower than your sync rate. That said, for the sync rate you are getting your IP profile/data rate should be higher. It looks like PN have either not received or have a problem setting the new data rate. What does the IP profile say on a BT speedtest as that is the profile plusnet should have set as well.
