Hotmail blocking us?

I thought we had sorted this I am getting all emails to hotmail bounced with the following message
The following message to <????@hotmail.co.uk> was undeliverable.
The reason for the problem:
5.1.0 - Unknown address error 550-'SC-004 Mail rejected by Windows Live Hotmail for policy reasons. A block has been placed against your IP address because we have received complaints concerning mail coming from that IP address. If you are not an email/network admin please contact your E-mail/Internet Service Provider for help. Email/network admins, we recommend enrolling in our Junk E-Mail Reporting Program (JMRP), a free program intended to help senders remove unwanted recipients from their e-mail list: http://postmaster.live.com'

I'm seeing the same thing too, was fine yesterday but now I'm getting the same error as you.

I just got a bounce from a mail I sent to someone with a hotmail address. I sent it from a webdomain I adminster but via Plusnets mail server. here is the bounce.

Is it a problem with my Email set up or a general issue between hotmail and plus?

There is an issue I'm afraid, Kev's made a Service Status update here:

It's raised as a P1, so we'll be fixing this as soon as possible

Well I sent a test mail about an hour and a half ago to a hotmail.co.uk, a hotmail.com, a yahoo.com & a gmail.com address. The two hotmail ones have not arrived, nor is there a bounce message. I'm off to raise a ticket as I see from the Status page there are NO priority problems

Correction to my earlier post - I did get the bounce messages - I looked in the wrong mailbox, sorry

Edit: I see from the P1 Hotmail will be lifting the block, but not quickly enough I think - I shall go and hastle them.
Have they provided detail as to why these blocks keep happening?

It will be for the reasons that are stated in the failed delivery notices. I would imagine that a lot of spam has been seen originating from our servers. It's happened after a recent phishing attack on Madasafish customers (see attached file) which is likely to have led to a number of accounts becoming compromised.

I hope they've been contacted and given some advice.
