Re: Home Hub 5 just disconnected itself and reboot twice

I have similar issues with the HH4 on ADSL. Done it twice in 2 days at about 09:30.  Event log starts like this each time. (PPP LCP Send Termination Request [User request])  I have not had a connection last more than 9 days. Shocked  Got the HH4 for better Wifi but hardly ever connect to the faster speed.  May go back to the PN hub.

Re: Home Hub 5 just disconnected itself and reboot twice

I know this thread is quite old but this issue seems to have surfaced once again with the HH5
22:29:34, 11 Dec. ( 34.070000) The system is UP!

22:28:31, 11 Dec. (1212201.720000) The system is going DOWN for reboot.

22:28:31, 11 Dec. (1212201.720000) OpenRG is going for reboot by IPC command

22:28:26, 11 Dec. (1212196.720000) OpenRG will go down for reboot in 5 seconds
Exactly who or what is OpenRG and is there any method of preventing anyone else from remotely accessing my HH5 without my consent ? My HH5 is not locked to BT as it was purchased direct from the bt store last year.
Current firmware on my HH5

Yes the home hubs get updates from BT despite being on PN. I had a HH2 and it always got the updates, and I have just swapped for HH5 which has updated.
Re: blocking these updates - well I am not sure everyone would want this - so if you do find a way of doing it you need to ensure it can be selectively applied.
Regards, David

Is this still the case as there seems to be a new firmware update being pushed out from yesterday - I wondered if anyone has had this update (https://community.bt.com/t5/BT-Infinity-Speed-Connection/BT-Home-Hub-5A-dropping-connection-updates/td-p/1449945 and http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/52465/?s_cid=con_FURL_help/hub5update)
