High Speed Broadband

They are currently completing the fibre optic installation in my area.  How much extra do I have to pay to access this facility ?

They suppose to be in my area too but FTTC isn't going to be in place until the end of the year if that. It was supposed to be enabled end of May. The cabinet is in place but nothing else. Sick of 3.9mb want 80mb now.

Re: High Speed Broadband

To answer the OP
If you are in a low cost area. And if your phone is with PN
ADSL (what you have now - £10
Fibre unlimited (40/20) - £15
Fibre unlimited extra (80/20) - £20
Add 2.50 to these if your phone is not plusnet.
Full details (including costs for high cost areas and how to tell the difference)

that is the very top end of the scale and like ADSL there is no guarantee you will get near that it's down to the distance from the fibre cab to your home and the quality of the line, to get near the 80Mb mark your fibre cab would have to be 100m or less from your property as well as the line being of excellent quality, I have a decent line and 430m from the cab and i get 65Mb at least i did until i got a fault that was fixed but DLM has not seen fit to give me that back another thing to be aware of there are no options or  tools etc that Plusnet can use to get speeds back if you get a fault it's all down to DLM be prepared to wait a very long time if at all to get your speed back to where it was should you ever get a fault.

OK  Cheesy
What do you pay now?
Do you have phone and internet, or just internet?
Should be able to give you an idea if you reply back with that.

Re: High Speed Broadband

I have been with Pluscom for more than 7 years and  have phone and internet.  I pay my line charges annually and have monthly direct debit of £11-00 for internet and " all calls" plan.

Fibre unlimited extra (80/20) - £20

I think this covers it in terms of Fibre pricing. My advice would be to contact our Customer Options Team on 0800 432 0200 as they will be able to offer you the best deal.

Re: High Speed Broadband

Complete waste of time.  Despite several local friends already being connected,  the response was that  "  there are no plans to bring High Speed to your area"
Who's kidding who ?

Re: High Speed Broadband

are you local friends served from the same BT cabinet number as you?
Put their telephone numbers into the DSL checker and find out
https://www.btwholesale.com/includes/adsl/main.html
it might be that their BT cabinets /have been upgraded and yours is not.
