Help needed please

I've not been able to connect for 3 days now. Using my mobile data to do this. I've got a tech 582 router. Phoned the last time i had a problem with poor confection. took an hour in a que before i spoke to some one but to be he got it sorted and it was ok until now. He said if i had trouble again to turn off my router over night... tried that. Disconnect other phones... tried that. Press the reset... tried that. . When i try to connect using WiFi i get this message grrrr.

Re: Help needed please

Hi @Sylvie, I'm glad to hear the engineer fixed the fault.

Looks like the router is just stuck in 'set up'. Can you please factory reset the router? If the issue then persists, please can you follow the steps below to manually connect:

1) Connect a device to the router via WiFi or Ethernet and open up a webpage. In the address bar type http://192.168.1.254

2) When you connect to this page, you will be prompted for a Username and Password. The username is 'admin' and the password is found on the back of the router and is starts 'CPXXXXXXXXX'

3) On the left, click the option that reads 'Broadband Connections' followed by 'Internet Services'

4) On the far right click the button that says 'Disconnect' so that it changes to 'Connect'

If it is already reads 'Connect' then you can leave this as is.

5) Click View More and this will prompt you for your username and password. Your username which is username@plusdsl.net and your account password and then press 'Connect'

Once this is completed you should be online. Let us know how you get on.

If this post resolved your issue please click the 'This fixed my problem' button
