No I have a plus net account for my email but we've just got Orange broadband through a deal my boyfriend got with his new phone.

So you no longer use PlusNet for your broadband connection.
In which case you need to change your email client to use oranges SMTP server as PlusNets will no longer work.
See the orange website for details.

In your mail client change relay.plus.net to smtp.orangehome.co.uk
That should fix things.

yes thanks to a little angel called James I have fully working email - and I;m embarrassed to say that it was just a simple error in the outgoing mail address - thanks james and all who replied on the forum. I think someone else got the correct smtp address just at the same time! THANKS  Grin
