HELP - How to open firewall to host a website or game server ?

HI,
I have a TG582n Router - and all the online help suggests everything is configured correctly but I cannot access anything on my LAN remotely 
1. Obtained static IP - however the router admin pages will not allow me see what the WAN IP is currently set at, I only know what PlusNet told me the IP is
2. Used Game filtering to add a specific TCP port and allow this for a specific internal computer
3. attempted to change PlusNet firewall settings in the member centre to both LOW and NONE but the Router always shows Firewall set to "Standard" security.
HAS ANYONE ever got this router to work for Game server or Web server or any other inbound traffic - please jhelp

for a webserver you will need to open port 80 and point that port to the IP address of the server inside your local network.
same process for a game server but will be a different port.
