Getting Faster

It seems that most customers on this forum have speed problems but I must say I am now getting 12 Mb download this is a first time for me because it is around just over 7Mb on average I'm not complaining but I wonder why this as happened I have not changed anything at this end ,is there a explanation.

Re: Getting Faster

Perhaps you've been upgraded to ADSL2+? Although if you were on 7Mb on ADSLMax you should get much better than 12Mb on ADSL2+.
Can you post the DSL stats from your router?

Re: Getting Faster

Well, you're definitely on ADSL2+, but it's impossible to say if you were on ADSLMax when you were getting 7Mb.
I'd say don't worry about it - sit back and enjoy the improvement Wink

Re: Getting Faster

Yes it is, he was, see his previous posts Wink
valart, the problem really is that as you didn't post back to the thread you started in the middle of May,  no-one got round to telling you to check your Current Line speed (Login required). This should equal the BT IP profile from the BTw Diagnostic Speedtest.
If your Current Line Speed is too low it will limit your download speed.
When your Sync speed (Bandwidth Down) changes, so does your Profile and the Current Line speed should change to match it, but because of system bugs it doesn't always do so.
Your current sync speed is 11239kbps which will give a profile of 9.91Mbps and a Current Line Speed of 9.9Mbps. This is the fastest download speed you might get at this time.

Re: Getting Faster
