These are my pjng times at the moment  Embarrassed

I'm not sure what you mean with the BT wiring? I can't see it internally I think it comes in and goes straight into the box so it's hidden behind.

That's horrendous - what's the stats like on the Helpdesk page and the detailed xDSL stats? Also check uptimes etc, and Gateway, then hop.

Re: Gaming problems, is it down to my Internet or is it down to the 2704n router

The PPP has certainly dropped, what is the other Uptime and the Showtime?
Do the Quiet Line Test as well.
Did anything electrical get switched on just before ~2024 do you know?
Is the ping any better?

Re: Gaming problems, is it down to my Internet or is it down to the 2704n router

I reset the PPP connection again, the uptime is 4m 58s and the showtime is 275 really sorry I forgot to take these down before resetting the PPP connection, I was struggling to do anything at all.
Nothing started at that time in my house electrically at all Sad

Re: Gaming problems, is it down to my Internet or is it down to the 2704n router

Well that's looking better. Certainly better than the result in reply #95.
Which Gateway are you on now.
I want to double check exactly what you are doing when you are dropping the PPP session just to be as certain (as we can be) about what may be happening. So you log into the 2704n and go to the Home page. Are you then Clicking on the Disconnect button? Can you describe exactly what you do after that please?

This is the gateway I am on..
You are currently connected to gateway pcl-bng02.
This is located in City Lifeline House

Now what I have been doing is (hopefully what you have told me) I go to my router then click disconnect, I then hard reset my xbox, and wait 30 seconds then I click on connect and wait for it to reconnect.

Re: Gaming problems, is it down to my Internet or is it down to the 2704n router

Hmm. That's what I suggested. Well I wouldn't expect that to cause any problems. If you can avoid resetting the Xbox again tonight - just in case - or if you have to, unplug the ethernet cable before you do it. Check all the Uptimes and stats first before doing anything. I'm trying to be certain that none of this is causing the 2704n to reboot.
Actually I'm hoping it is in a way because we'll have found one problem, but don't try tonight as too many drops may upset the DLM.
Tomorrow in daylight if you can, have it connected, check all the Uptimes and stats and then reboot the Xbox. Watch the lights on the 2704n as well to see what they do, when you do that. The Broadband light (2nd from the left) is the one to watch - if it starts flashing etc. it's lost sync and is resyncing.
If you see that light flashing at other times, do the Quiet Line Test 17070 option 2 as well to see if there's any line noise. Just a thought, the phone didn't ring at ~2024 did it?

Re: Gaming problems, is it down to my Internet or is it down to the 2704n router

No problem I will do.  No the phone never rang but we are having problems with our phone line being dead and no dial tone (comes and goes) also people phoning us not being able to hear us as we have  silence and so do they, people try and phone us and it doesn't ring this end or it rings 2 or 3 times then rings off  I didn't think for a second the 2 could be connected but I assume the fact you are asking if someone rang than phone that it can be?

Re: Gaming problems, is it down to my Internet or is it down to the 2704n router

It most certainly can, basically shit phone line = shit broadband. A dead phone line means a disconnection somewhere on the line and that's why your broadband is dropping. Who do you pay line rental to?
