Re: Funny Routing?

Seems to be bouncing between a PlusNet gateway in Telehouse North and a PlusNet gateway in Telecity (ptn ptc).
My box is in Telecity.
I know it's up as I can get to it via a Proxy.

Re: Funny Routing?

Can't check from a PlusNet connection at the moment cos I'm at work.  I can get to it from here though.
Could it be one of the comms team thanking you for your present to them?

All good from here, although the hop after lonap looks congested.  Maybe a router hiccup?

Looks like it was related to this :-

Thanks god...
When we lost the connectivity to our CRM system I thought I was about to have a nightmare... I'm off to France in an hour!  Very relieved the problem was at PlusNet's end!

Yep, sorry a bit late notice there but we needed to do this work. Should be back to normalish now too.

Re: Funny Routing?

I saw the status, but at first glance I didn't think it was that causing the issues.  My problem wasn't a drop of connectivity in general, but just routing to the one box... persumably the link to Telecity wobbled a bit.
No worries.... I'm just so glad it wasn't my fault... as I say I have a ferry to catch!

Possibly related - these forums timeout when connected to RIN.
No problem on the PlusNet server

Re: Funny Routing?

Was there a specific need to do this work 'in hours'?  It seems to me that it's quite intrusive.
The SS said that there would be a 'brief drop', I wouldn't say this is a brief drop but rather a prolonged outage affecting some websites / services.
The SS also said that the 'brief drop' would occur 'If the change becomes problematic'.  I take it the change isn't going to plan then?Huh

Unfortunately we didn't have much time to do the comms for this, the maintenance was essential and needed to be done asap.
I appreciate my service status wasn't as in depth as it could have been and I apologise for that.
