Frequently dropping wi-if/broadband

Hi,
New to the community so hope it's ok to post this here.
My wifi signal keeps dropping out and sometimes the broadband as a whole is too. It's happening increasingly often and is causing a number of problems. I've done all the usual checks, my router is plugged into the master socket etc & ive checked for service issues. Are you able to look into this from your end please?
Thanks in advance for your time.
Kind regards,
Hayley Walden

Hi Hayley,

Sorry that you're having problems with your connection.

If you've already been through the checks, I'd advise getting this reported as a fault at https://faults.plus.net

When you've done that, let us know here and we'll get this picked up and progressed asap.

Re: Frequently dropping wi-if/broadband

For wifi issues have you tried changing channel to a less popular one?
Use an app such as inSSIDER3 to monitor wifi traffic in your vicinity.
If you have dual band router, try switching off one frequency.
If router next to a DECT cordless phone, move as far apart as poss.

Re: Frequently dropping wi-if/broadband

Hi Hayley, both options are valid, you could try and change channels on your router, that sometime can cure the issue your having but if it doesn't then as my colleague Chris advised raise a fault here: https://faults.plus.net

Re: Frequently dropping wi-if/broadband

Thank you all. I was hoping to avoid the fiddling about of changing frequency but I'll give it a go & get back to you all.
