Just to check are you browsing the international or UK version of the BBC websites?
Im currently abroad and viewing the UK version of the website and videos without the adverts or other problems you have mentioned
You can check the version of the page your viewing by looking at the top of the red news title bar on the news homepage

Simple fix
Wait until you come home BBC always show loads of repeats these days
Tonight traffic cops was a repeat tonight it was only on for the first time a month ago
Shame we cannot tell the TV detector man the TV license is a repeat from 2006
puddy

Some may have ben reading my cry for help about setting up my WiFi router in France. After Forum members helped me to get connected, the first thing I tried on line was to see if I could get BBC News24 from France using Onpseed as my proxy. The answer is "Yes". That works. But if I stop Onspeed, in other words do not use a proxy, then te BBC blocks the transmission.
I just watched the Queen's Speech !
Thanks to all who made an input to this topic also, especially those who responded to both topics !
Now to get my WiFi internet radio working - wait for the next cry for help !
