First day of Fibre - quick question

Just migrated to Fibre Unlimited today - BT installation before 10am this morning - just a quick query re speeds NOT A MOAN!
Until switching to Fibre my previous PlusNet BB download speed was in the region 4-5MBs with upload about 0.9MBs, sometimes less but these were about the norm.
The BT engineer said his tests indicated I should now get about 44MBs & 8MBs respectively, maybe more depending on the resolution of a line fault which he detected at installation and is awaiting an another engineer to rectify. So I quite understand that what I'm now getting may be affected by that problem and it is very early days re 'system learning' etc. But I'm just a bit puzzled in that whilst my download speed is roughly the same as before 4-5MBs the upload has shot up to approx 7MBs. So could it be that a parameter needs resetting for the download or is it the 'early days' issue? Quite happy to wait but thought it odd that the upload was now so good so worthwhile asking the question? Thanks.

If one of the DCT ( Digital Care team ) don't spot this thread, then call the CSC and tell them.

Thanks for that. As said, thought it best to check as the upload speed had changed. Just checked again - after BT engineer has rectified some sort of pre-existing line fault outside - now at approx 15 down / 7 up, so getting there. Thanks again!
