Hi
Recently upgraded to fibre with new `Openreach router and a `Netgear` modem. How can I find my router password to allow a friends laptop to use my wireless connection, please.
regards
PE

I guess you mean Netgear router and Openreach modem. The default login for the router is user=admin password=password. You ought to change the latter at the first opportunity

PS having logged in you can set the wireless pass phrase to something of your own choice under Setup - Wireless settings at top left.

Thanks David,
Glad you noticed the deliberate error
I had a senior moment-got a bit confused as my previouse router was first in line out of the BT connection box followed by the modem, whearas the new setup has the modem followed by the router..
Have now managed to change my SSID and passphrase.
Regards
