Hi, Just ordered fibre broadband and ordered the "fibre router" (Technicolor TG582n Fibre Router). Is this the device BT connect to the master socket or is it just a router?
If it's just a router then I already have one of those so Plusnet please can you cancel my order (Order number : HW25941389) as I do not require this. I would call but the telephone queue is currently at 15 mins.

Hi
BT install a fibre modem, and you then need a router (such as the TG582n router) to connect to the BT modem. This router needs to have an WAN RJ45 port.

I have a Billion BIPAC 7800N which has an "EWAN: RJ-45 Ethernet port for connecting to ADSL / Cable / FTTH / VDSL device" as well as an ADSL port so I assume this will be OK.
