Joined plusnet May last year. Was very pleased to start, in an ADSL2 area, .7 miles from exchange, was getting 11mbps and a ping of 24ms. Great for Warcraft!
Howvere, since December I am now getting constant issues. Im fed up of emailing and phoning in to be told have you changed the filter etc. I'm getting just over 2 mbps- not bad compared to some areasm but pants for living in a city on ADSL2. My ping goes up to 128ms sometimes. Warcraft is pants. On contacting BT, they say they can supply me at "at least" 8mbps. Plusnets own tools say I should get aroiund 9mbps.
Im on plusnet extra- what do I get for it? I dont use my allowance because I cant download fast enough. Its a rant, sorry, but Ive been going on now since December. I email and ask for a complimentary month which is ignored. Do I wait till the end of the contract and migrate or take the ISPA route?

Have you raised a fault
What are the router stats - noise margin, attenuation and speeds
What does the BT speedtester give
What does this say for Current Line Speed https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed
Are you connecting by wireless

Hi skimanant,
Looks like the dropping connection has caused your line profile to be reduced. I've asked one of our faults guys up here to take a look for you and get it moved on, there should be an update on there shortly.

Are you sure? Should be VPI=0 and VCI=38.

Are there any auto plusnet ways to update this? It could be the problem? I just copy and pasted it from the Plusnet Speedtest.

Those values should be stored in the router - it may be that the speed test site didn't read the information correctly, but then I've never seen that much detail in a BT speed test...
