Faulty Router?

Twice recently I have gone to use computer 1st thing in the morning and I get report saying that the SSID cannot be found. The lights are all OK on router and it affects all devices, phone, TV, the lot.

Reboot router and it all works again.

Is this a sign of a faulty router?

Re: Faulty Router?

I would advise factory resetting the router first and seeing if it improves, also which router are you using?

Re: Faulty Router?

It's the basic Technicolor router. I'll try a factory re-set - though perhaps I'll just have a look at all the configured devices in case there's some I can remove in case that's the problem. Trouble is it is just a random issue that I've never seen before.

Re: Faulty Router?

If you use google chrome on that PC, as crazy as it may sound, have a read of this

Your symptoms sound very similar....

The other thing to do is check for wifi congestion.
