Re: Face time problems

HD streaming can be between 2 & 3GB per hour.
What security method have you got on your wireless rooky?
Have you ever given an old Plusnet modem/router of yours to any one else?

Re: Face time problems

TBB Graph:
Quote
Will this use up my usage allowance?
We only send very small ping packets every second. These are 28 bytes in size, so the total usage from our system would be 2.42MB (megabytes) per day, or on average around 73.63MB (megabytes) per month. Most broadband packages with usage allowances would measure them in Gigabytes (1000MB), so this would represent an insignificant amount in your usage allowance. If in doubt, please contact your service provider.

Running speed tests can add up as you're essentially downloading/uploading dummy files.

Yep, it is a bit of a .... to start with. Did you look at http://community.plus.net/library/tools/how-to-use-wireshark-osx-video/ ?
But hey, that's streaming as well which may account for some usage if you did  Huh

Re: Face time problems

Have a play with it first. Choose an uncluttered directory (or a new one) to save the files in, they get quite big if you leave it running for very long.
You just save the files as is by Wireshark, and then the one that you need to send to Plusnet you zip up.
Edit: don't know if you read http://community.plus.net/library/faults/using-wireshark-for-data-capture/ also helpful  Wink
